FAQ

I am an international student who will need to file a tax return, would it be convenient for me to also fill a 1098-t form?
You do not complete a 1098T. If you paid qualifying tuition, then your school will send you a 1098-T. That will support your educational tax credits or deduction if you qualify to take them on a US tax return. You might check Am I Eligible to Claim an Education Credit?
How do I store form values to a JSON file after filling the HTML form and submitting it using Node.js?
//on submit you can do like this //You can do this on both client and server side //If you want to read from fields and put into JSON object var field1 = $('.field1_classname').val(), var field2 = $('.field2_classname').val(), //If you have value directly then directly put the value like this var field3 = 'some Value', var field4 = 'some value', var data = { field1:field1, field2: field2, field3: field3, field4: field4 } //Now you have everything in JSON object 'data' and post data object to server. //On server side u can acces values like var field1 = req.param('field1',null), console.log('field1 is '+field1)
How can I create an auto-fill JavaScript file to fill out a Google form which has dynamic IDs that change every session?
Is it possible to assign IDs on the radio buttons as soon as the page loads ?
First time doing taxes. I have my W-2. What do you recommend the steps for someone that wants to learn a little in the process of doing taxes? For free of course
What advice would I give the first-time taxpayer? Hmmm...Bookmark this link: http://www.irs.gov/publications/.... IRS Publication 17 has the answers to most of the common questions a first-time taxpayer would have. Pay particular attention to Chapter 1, which guides you through the process of deciding whether or not you even need to file and what form you would use if you do file, and scan through the chapter titles for things that might apply to your situation (education, job-related expenses, and the like).Go through your mail for all of those things that say "Important Tax Information Enclosed" - even if you don't think you are going to need it. Open all of those envelopes, and if there's anything in there that you don't understand, do a search on the IRS Web site for the document number (e.g. Form 1098-T). You'll quickly discover what it's for and how you should use it on your return.Don't start filling out a return until you have all of your income and expense records handy. The IRS Web site also has forms that you can download and fill in. Try doing it with pencil and paper first, before turning to Turbo Tax or whatever - you'll gain a greater understanding of the process by giving it a go yourself.
How can I get a form 1098 for a mortgage I have in France to prepare my tax returns?
You will have to order the form from Internal Revenue Service. You can order it here, Online Ordering for Information Returns and Employer Returns.  Scroll down to find the form you are looking for.  It will probably take awhile to receive it, but while you are waiting you can look over this online form to know what you need to fill it out, Page on irs.gov.  You may have to file an extension to include it with your taxes.  Be sure to send in an estimated payment (if you think you owe taxes) to the IRS by April 15, 2015 to avoid penalties. The official form is red and scannable, the pdf is not.
